    All new-build houses in Wales will from 1 September need to conform to strict new environmental regulations which, says independent planning consultancy DPP, will push up the cost of building new homes by between 5 and 10 per cent. The legislation, which was announced in a surprise move by the Welsh Assembly last year, has been implemented in stages, with development schemes of five or more homes needing to meet the new strict environmental legislation from 1 September last year.

    St Georges Community Housing is celebrating this week after receiving excellent feedback from residents and community groups to its ongoing community clean-up project, undertaken with Pinnacle PSG. Two estates in particular have received significant praise: Laindon’s Lee Chapel North and Keats Way in Wickford, whose communal areas were given a complete deep-clean.
